Garden Sushi 101

Join us for a hands-on cooking class featuring this eye-appealing Japanese cuisine! The class will guide you through the process of making your own basic, garden-fresh-infused (vegan) sushi rolls. Participants will try their hands at rolling a Maki roll (tubular), an inside-out roll (California roll), and a hand roll (cone)—all deliciously stuffed with a variety of fresh garden ingredients.

Joining The Food Channel in 2018, an affiliate of the USA Today network, Kurella has worked in the field of food for nearly two decades, including as a long-running newspaper correspondent affiliated with multiple publications throughout the Midwest. Kurella is a member of the Association of Food Journalists and an award-winning, self-syndicated food columnist, a food stylist and photographer, and the author of three cookbooks and one children’s book. She has also hosted two local cable television shows, her own Radio Recipes show, and has made appearances on national television as a spokesperson for Michigan Agri-Tourism.
